Hima Gurupalli of Borealis becomes registered as a Professional Biologist in Alberta

Borealis Environmental Consulting Inc. (Borealis) is very proud to announce to our clients and colleagues that Hima Gurupalli, MSc, Intermediate Environmental Scientist at Borealis, has been successfully registered by the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists (ASPB) as a ‘Professional Biologist’ (P.Biol.) in the Province of Alberta. This is a particularly significant milestone, given how early Ms. Gurupalli is in her career. While not yet registered (as an R.P.Bio.) in British Columbia, it is important to note that the requirements for registration in both provinces are comparable.

One of the important implications of Ms. Gurupalli’s registration is that she will be signing off on Borealis reports and other documentation in support of our Alberta-based projects.

Hima is an environmental biologist with experience in cell biology, immunology, microbiology and environmental toxicology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Master of Science in Physiology, Cell and Developmental Biology. With interests and passion for water management, environmental impact assessment and aquatic toxicology, Ms. Gurupalli has – in her relatively short time with the firm - made significant contributions to all Borealis projects.

Congratulations, Hima Gurupalli, MSc, PBiol, we are thrilled to celebrate this important milestone in her career journey. Way to go!
