Sustainability Assurance Program Support - Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMP) and Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM)

Borealis, in conjunction with Grey Point Enterprises, RDZ Consulting, and Cedar Water Strategy, is currently supporting Yamana Gold's sustainability program needs with respect to assurance and external verification support services for Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMP) (World Gold Council) and Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) protocols (Mining Association of Canada). This includes: third-party reviews of gap analyses and action plans for both TSM/RGMP assurance programs, and assurance of implementation progress reports for the RGMP assurance program for all four of Yamana Gold's South American mining operations (Cerro Moro, Minera Florida, El Penon, Jacobina); and, full external verification/assurance in the third year of the program. Activities include: review of documentation and other evidence; on-site interviews with site personnel; and evaluation against the two assurance standards (RGMP and TSM).
